The Origin
DMV Nude was founded in 2010 as part of the DMV International Film Festival.
The experience was originally created as a disruptor event placed between daytime screenings and evening programming during the festival. The intention was to hold the morning audience while attracting a new evening audience by introducing an unexpected artistic moment.
What began as an experimental concept quickly became one of the most talked about experiences of the festival. Guests were intrigued by the artistic exploration of the human body and began asking about the event independently.
As interest grew, DMV Nude evolved beyond its original placement within the film festival and developed into its own artistic experience.
